Yes, the reason is because it was HC's annual cross country event. So, early release for hardwork on the run. :]
So I made my way to MacRitche Reservoir from home, and I left my house at around 5.55 a.m.? As the way to the reservoir was to take bus 74 from AMK Mrt Station, I took the MRT to Ang Mo Kio. On the MRT, I saw my junior Zheng Yee from afar. I didnt think too much about it then. After that, Mr Stamford Wee, my ex- IT teacher, boarded the train. He didnt really see me(most probably because he is super tall -.-) and he just walked past me. All of a sudden, I missed CHS. Like really miss it, like SUPER miss it. The carefree, slack and fun life there. The feeling of knowing everyone from the level/batch and the familiarity of the place. The way I could just walk into the basketball court and played with anyone there, unlike HC where I most probably wont know the person. It felt as though I only collected my 'O' level results yesterday.... Some other CHS people must be like, NOW THEN YOU FEEL IT?! Haha, sorry la.... HC abit fun what... takes a while to remember the times in CHS :P. Haha. But, yes all those stated above, I MISS IT.
Anyway, I digressed a little too much. HAHA. Okay... so I took bus 74 to MacRitche Reservoir. And I missed my stop, like 1 stop only, but still abit embarassing. There was no J1s to follow to know when to alight, so I was sort of on my own. So yea... Missed the stop. I saw the other HC people never alight and I panicked. 'Are we suppose to meet in school?'came to my mind. So I called up Yong Liang to confirm it. Luckily, my STM not that serious. Those people that never alight were J2s who had block test. *Phews* Haha.
So I arrived a little on time only and we had to collect our 'tags' to pin on the front of our faculty shirt. We started warming up even before the signal was given. After that, the guys made our way to the starting line. I was suppose to accompany Yong Liang throughout the course, but sadly to say, I am not fast enough to keep up and there was way too much people. ): So, we ran the course alone. In between the run, there was this water-point where people could have some water if they want. As I was running, it wasnt made convenient for me take it, so I sort of didnt catch it and I had to stop to get a cup. I just took a sip and poured the rest over my head. Side-track abit, this is to clarify on why guys do that. Its not to act cool. -.- We only take a sip because if we drank too much, we will most probably get a stitch. So for the rest of the water, it will be retarded to pour on the ground, so we pour over ourselves to make ourselves feel more comfortable because water evaporate to cool us down what. So yea... NOT to act cool, it's to cool us down:D HAHA.
Well, I was sort of lousy in the run la, although got other reasons but yea, no stamina le >< Didnt even make it to top 20. Haha. For the competitive results, Yong Liang was 15th while Evelyn was 7th in the girl's one. Basically, Ares didnt win the most amount of top 20s among all the different categories. But guess what? We won overall! HAHA. VERY VERY SHOCKING OK? But it goes to show, the heart and spirit is more important than athleticism. It means that Ares won more overall. :] Ares FTW~ :) Anyway, kudos and congrats to Yong Liang and Evelyn. :D
After that went with Yuh Chyi, Pei Yu, Suat Ying and Jia Xin to MacDonalds for brunch (breakfast + lunch). Started chatting and all about the 'O' level students, mugging, guys being high and guys breaking down. Haha. Very random topics. Yea, chatted for very long before Jia Xin said she wanted to go before we made our way home.
Then, somebody go and sms me ask me whether I went home so I told that somebody what was I doing and that somebody ah... go and say I looking for wife like I need more scandals like that. Tsk tsk..... that somebody ah... >< Haha, ok, this was random and just to make fun of that specific person only. Don't want state name. :P HAHA.
Alright, that's all for today, I will only post pictures if I took them (DUH!) So yea, see ya~
